Project Details

This campaign highlights Dove Chocolate’s partnership with CVS and the humanitarian group CARE, built around the “Bean-to-Bar” journey. Together, they’ve launched Village Savings and Loan Associations that support women in cocoa-growing communities across Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. What started in 2015 has grown into a $10 million commitment, expanding from about 12,000 members to a goal of 50,000 by 2025. The focus goes beyond cocoa—it’s about helping women build financial independence, strengthen their families, and drive positive change in their communities.

For the creative side of this campaign, I led illustration and production across key visuals, packaging, social ads, and in-store displays. We crowd-sourced over 50 hand-drawn sketches from our in-house artists. To give the work an authentic, human feel, my team custom-photographed real Post-it notes in five colors, 20 different “imperfection” styles. Then, used Cinema 4D to randomly generate a base template to distribute the colors evenly. The main key visual looks like it was painstakingly arranged by hand at a bus stop, when in reality it was built entirely digitally.

All of this came together in about a week after final art direction approval by the client, balancing a handcrafted look with a fast turnaround. The result was a campaign that felt personal, creative, and true to the mission of empowering women from bean to bar.
